Christmas In Spring
Christmas In Spring is an album born from contradiction. Growing up, Christmas rarely came with gifts. But when tax season arrived, there were brief moments of relief — new clothes, small comforts, the illusion of stability. Joy didn’t arrive when it was supposed to. It arrived late, disguised as survival. That experience became the emotional backbone of this album.Keyze AriZona uses Christmas In Spring to explore what it means to grow up without permanence — without parents, without safety, without certainty — and still search for faith, purpose, and meaning. The music is deeply introspective and intentional, rooted in lived experience rather than metaphor. These songs sit with grief instead of rushing past it. They question belief instead of preaching it. They reflect on ambition, loss, responsibility, and the cost of surviving long enough to dream. Including features such as SWAVAY, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, REASON, and Mick Jenkins, this album is his defining work to date. Debuted at #3 in the world
Paired with the album release,
Keyze has also Co-Directed a 45-minute feature film in
collaboration with
Loagin Sneed.
The album, Christmas In Spring, expands into a narrative film that lives inside the same emotional world as the music. The film follows Ezekiel Huff, an 18-year-old high school student loosely based on Keyze, as he struggles to support himself and his younger brother while everything around him begins to collapse. With no parents to fall back on and no safety net beneath him, Ezekiel is forced to grow up faster than he’s ready for.
As pressure mounts, the film explores themes of loss and inherited trauma, religion and moral conflict, corruption and greed, and the quiet weight of responsibility. The story doesn’t chase spectacle. It focuses on small moments — the kind that shape who you become when no one is watching.
Together, the album and film form a single narrative experience — one that reflects on what it means to survive long enough to dream, and what it costs to carry that dream forward
